In high school we have the option to take Latin, and this is my second year taken it. My grandpa was a Latin teacher for 40 years. So I felt like I should take it. I also thought it would be a good idea because Latin helps you a lot in the medical field, and that is what I want to go into. This year is different than last year however. This class is more challenge because we had only 4 students taken Latin two, so my school joined Latin 1 and Latin 2. Everyone in Latin 2 is pretty much taking it as an independent study, and we don't go over the work we do. So I have to work extra hard to understand the lessons, and do well on the test. It is hard but I have a B+ and since it is an honors class it is weighted to an A+. We have exam this Thursday and Friday and I am really nervous because she told us it is really hard, but we know what is on it so we can figure it out. I use to really enjoy this class when we would go over everything and understood what was going on. It is hard for me to know of I am right or wrong if we never go over it before the test. I try to talk to my grandpa before the test if I have any questions, but it is still hard because I would like know it more than a day before the test. Also, I did not think it was going to be like independent study, so I was not prepared to have to work like this. Hopefully it all works out this week and next trimester.
