I have been thinking a lot lately about the president candidates and there platforms. I watch the debates and I tried to find the facts. I feel like it is hard to do though because I sometimes feel that they say certain things just to get a vote from us. I am taking government at high school and we are learning a lot about the Constitution, and we found that the branch with the most power is the Congress. As I thought more and more about it I thought that all the ideas that the presidents may not be able to pass the ideas that they have to change the country. The other thing that I notice is that what can you really get done in four years. I feel that they need to make goals that are more obtainable in the four years. Also while in government we have to do research on the platforms of each candidate, and I have found that some of their points are different then what they day in the debates. This makes me wonder if there is a trustworthy candidate that can get us out of the trouble we have been facing. I just hope that others are looking into this too, and finding out who is the best choice to help us. I also hope that they candidates look at us more than just a vote because in the Constitution the people are the ones that suppose to run the country. Also in my class we talk a lot about what the founding fathers would think of our government, and after research we found this is not what they wanted for the people of the United States. Soon all this thinking will be over and we will have the winner. Hopefully they can help the country, and we all stay informed with the decisions they make because it is out duty to.
