In Class 14: Parents Helping Son with Girlfriend

Like most guys my son, Ryan had made a stupid mistake with his girlfriend and she broke up with him. He is so devastated. He walks around the house moaning like a zombie. So his father and I decide to help him make up with his girlfriend. The first thing we had to do was figure out what he did to make her so upset that she would break up with him. He told us that he was at a party without her and informed her that this really attractive girl was hitting on him. We told him that is something you never say! Not even if a model is hitting on you; you never call another girl attractive. My husband and I devised a plan to win his girlfriend over. My husband said he need to just call her, and explain himself; after many failed attempts she was still ignoring him. Then I came up with my brilliant idea. Ryan should go to her house, and bring flowers. Then he will knock on the door and leave the flowers with a not explaining himself, and in that note if she calls him that means she really did care about him, if not then he needs to move on. He did this plan and a week went by, and still no call. He sat in his room waiting by the phone. I went up to my son to see how he was doing, and all he was doing was glazing at his phone every chance he got. I gave him a talk about how he need to move on it was clear that she was done with him. Then all of a sudden his phone rang, it was his girlfriend! She had called to say that she had not been home, she was on vacation, and that she loved his flowers and will surely take him back. his mood quickly changed. It goes to show you that sometimes your mother can be right when it comes to girls.
